In experiments where two soft bodies collide, excessive deformation problem

I used a wind field to give each ellipsoid an initial velocity and made them collide. I wanted to observe how the two objects collide and deform (fig. 1).

However, before the two objects collide, from the moment they start moving, they deformed excessively like cloth (fig. 2).

The soft body option values ​​for the two objects were given (fig. 3).

Of course, if we increase the pull & push values ​​(close to 1), we will see less deformation. However, this makes them behave almost like rigid bodies.

What settings would be good to set so that the two objects do not deform before they collide, but deform when they collide?
