In rendered view, it looks like there is a gap between objects that have no gap

This top viewport show a rendered image of a box with a drawer that is pulled out. It looks like there is a large gap between the sides and bottom of the drawer that light is leaking through. The bottom 3D viewport view shows the solid view, specifically the side view of where the drawer is going into the box–definitely no gap. why is the light leaking through?

eevee occludes shadow improperly, use contact shadow on your lights.


increase shadow map size might also help
