Ive set up a logo that has lots of leaf patterns and all are set to 0.1 for the extrusion but both in the 3d window and when rendered they are different thicknesses… any ideas?

The extrusion depth is relative to the object size, select the leaves, hit ctrl-a and then “apply object scale and rotation to obdata” which is the top choice.
Hope this helps,

If I do that it flattens it to a plan line - I guess I rotated the curve at some point… Is there a way of combining seperate curves into one curve? ctrl + j doesnt work

Ah right, then do ctrl-a apply scale to obdata.
You can select them all then do ctrl-j -> join selected curves. Works here, but all the curves will have to be in the same plane then. Ctrl-a should do what you want (but for reference, ctrl-j can join curves)
thanks that worked perfectly!
