Hello there… I’ve searches this site and web, and haven’t come across an answer on my question.
QUESTION: Is there a way og increasing/decreasing the number of loopcuts, when using a Wacom. Similar to using the scroll wheel.
TIA
EDIT: Now I got the loop cut problem solved, but one thing is troubling me.
I can’t loopselect, and here is what I’ve found out…
with the settings set to “emulate 3 button mouse” I can navigate just as I would expect using my Wacom. But I can not make an loopselection with ALT click.
if I deselect “emulate 3 button mouse” I can make a loopselection by ALT clicking, but no longer navigate via Wacom.
What is the magic setting for Wacom to work on both, I really hope Blender is able to handle this.
Depending on the Wacom tablet you’ve got, you can also use that circular wheel on the side (with all the buttons). Of course, this advice only helps if you’ve one of the Intuos Pro/Cintiqs and not the entry-level lines with the tablet surface only.
For using the Grease Pencil tools or the sculpt tools, I’ve found that it’s really nice to keep this wheel under you thumb while drawing with the pen in your other hand. This way, you can dynamically adjust the brush size as needed while drawing at the same time.
If you have one of the entry-level lines that have pen and touch, like the Bamboo, you can just two-finger slide up/down on the tablet to increase/decrease loop cuts.
Things got easier, but only some… I can’t select edgeloops when using a wacom.
I have chosen to use left click instead of right click for selecting. It works with a mouse, but only if I haven’t tried with wacom first, it seems to screw things up, and will be back to normal, once I’ve changed back to right click in preferences.
Any suggestions? Help needed and will be appreciated.
On my pen, I have one button click as the middle mouse and the other as Shift+R-Click(to select loops). For normal selecting and Shift/CTRL/Alt I use the tablet buttons.
Works for me with left click select… Maybe I changed the keyboard shortcut though, can’t remember. My Loop Select is bound to Alt Select Mouse.
edit: ah, never mind, I don’t use emulate 3 button mouse… you can just change the shortcut to something that doesn’t use alt.
Also, why would you want to use emulate 3 button mouse? You can set one of the buttons to right click and the other to middle click, then use the middle click button+modifiers to navigate. I use the top button for middle click and it’s super nice for navigating.
