Indigo renders only Samples / crash on blender export

Hi all: I have 2 Windows 2000 machines both running some AMD Athlons (4 - 5 yrs old / I don’t remember which one).

INDIGO WORK GREAT with the provided samples BUT it crashes when I try to render scenes exported from Blender.

Running the last official stable Blender (2.41), say I try to export the default cube scene. I save the XML file in the proper directory, edit the inifile.txt to point to it.

Note, without edit of the XML, it tells me that lens_radius and aperture radius are missing.

OK, so I feed:
<lens_radius>0.10</lens_radius>
<angle_of_view>36</angle_of_view>
from the cornell box example.

I try to export with or without separate materials… Makes no difference.

Indigo works through intial warmup and crashes right there. The pop up windows reads:

"
Indigo has generated errors and will be closed by windows.
An error log is being created.

"

I look at log.txt and find (nothing interesting to me):
"
random number seed: 13373
scene file path: ‘c:\indigo est.xml’
Using working directory path ‘c:\indigo’.
created world.
Loading Scene ‘c:\indigo est.xml
’…
"

The event log (in case) shows nothing.

It does that on both my machines (both patched). What gives? Any idea? I suspect the script, but at the same time, it’s probably not a big problem, since nobody (from what I see) reports that problem…

Thanks for your help,

Arnaud

Which version of indigo? There are many at the moment.

Edit-

Just noticed this.
"
Indigo has generated errors and will be closed by windows.
An error log is being created.

"

I haven’t seen this one before. Have you posted this over at flipcode? Thats where the developer (Nick) resides. http://www.flipcode.dxbug.com/board.php?forum=9

IanC:
Version 0.4
NO, I haven’t gone to that board. Thanks for suggesting.

Arnaud

The latest version is 0.5 test 7 I think. There are some errors, but it is well worth checking out. I think there is a blende exporter updated for it, if not there is one for one of the 0.5’s.

If it is a bug, that forum is the best place for it.
