if you have 2 render layers on the first one lets say a torus and on the 2nd a cylinder going through the ring.you add your effects to each and then how do you compost them together?
add node wont work (i tried using the z value with no success). splitting the torus in half on 2 render layers would work but not for complex models and transparency.
