It’s quite good. Now, I’d love to see it move.
Could you, for example, put together a one-minute video that illustrates how this machine would make, say, a little plastic airplane-part? Don’t bother to show people, or necessarily to show “every detail,” but rather, show me how it works.
This is actually something I had considered for later. I want to actually get the model done first, but I did plan the model around this idea. It isn’t static, every part that moves on the real thing is designed to be able to move on the model.
So there may be a a little animation later on 
Speaking of animation, I have a question for this one;
There’s these two cords I made from bezier curves;

These cords will be attached to the mold, and I need them to bunch and tighting as the mold opens and closes. Is there some sort of reactor or something I can use? Or am I going to have to do it by hand?
You can try armatures with IK solvers. Look up the online doc. They have a small section on mechanism rigging.
This is an aproach I had considered. This is probably a silly question, but would I need to convert the curves to a mesh for this?
There is a tutorial entitled Rigging Mechanics which talks about hydraulic tubing, toward the bottom of the page…

Injection molding press won’t get you on CG talk but it will definitely be a good exercise in modeling. Nice updates.
Nice work! I’ve been in injection molding for 15 years, so it’s really cool to see someone build something like this.
While I’m here, your stationary platen (the thick plate behind the controls) needs to be much larger (taller, wider, but not thicker). The back of the stationary platen does however get thinner (it tapers in) where the nozzle meets the mold. The 4 horizontal tie bars bolt on to the the stationary platen with tie bar nuts, so you see why it would have to be bigger.

P.S. After you’re done, you should stick a robot on it! They bolt to the top of the stationary platen.
The thing is, everyone does space ships and guns, I wanted to do something different. Who knows, maybe I’ll model more industrial machines (except a mill, I never liked working on those). I could build an entire virtual production plant, then use it to manufacture all the virtual space ships I want 
And, iso, thanx for the tip. I’ll change that on the next update, which, unfortunately won’t be until this weekend, due to my busy schedule. I spent nearly seven years in the industry, but only a grand total of maybe four months on the presses.
