i’ve been recently working with the smokesimulator to achieve the inkdrop effect and already have made some progress, but i really want to achieve the quality in the picture below.
Anyone know how to achieve such a high level of detail in the final render?

At Blenderdiplom there is a hir-res and lo-res version of the ink drop BLEND file. I am not sure what the difference is but on my dual laptop it takes forever to render the lo-res version. I just don’t have the patience for such SLOWWWWW technology. My advice is to click the Smoke Hi-resolution checkbox and sit back and wait forever.
