Inner glass cylinder goes dark, but when separated, they are normal. Blender cycles 2.83

I’m trying to make the interior of a TARDIS,
usually has a glass column in the center of the console
called Time Rotor,
it is or a short cylinder closed on top
or the cylinder goes to the roof of the ship.
My version has the systems,
with the closed cylinder inside that goes up to the ceiling
the inner cylinder goes dark
while the external is normal,
but when removing the external the internal returns to normal
I tried Transparecy but the result is strange
and it doesn’t solve the problem!

Outter and Inner Glass Rotor:

it is the Transmission setting on your Principled shader…turn it to 0.

Better to use a Glass shader ( there are many out there…and everyone has their favorite ).

it didn’t work, still black

this is how the intern Time Rotor glass column behaves without the external

To me it sounds like an issue of too few light bounces.
Go to Render Properties > Light Paths > Max Bounces in the Properties panel and try to increase the values for Total and Transmission.
