INR symbol not working with Text inside Blender

When I type Shift + 4, the $ sign appears. But with Indian keyboard layout active ( the same which is used for $ ), Right ALT + 4 should give Indian Rupee sign ₹ which works with almost all apps I have used so far. Sadly, inside Blender when used with Text option Right ALT + 4 gives no output at all.

Is there any method to get around this ? Thanks.

Have you checked the used font is supporting the rupee symbol?

You are right. When used an Indian regional font, it allows using ₹ inside Blender. Thanks.
