Inset along one edge

Is it possible in Blender to inset along one edge like so…

With this example I just did a normal inset then edited it, which is fine it didn’t take long in this example, but I was wondering if there was a specific function, I know some programs have this.

Not natively that I’m aware of.
Maybe this:

MeshMachine has a grerat offset edges ability but it’s paid addon.

I and then B might work (https://www.instagram.com/p/CEOO4hijb6K/?igshid=1vwivt317gc84)

I havent tested it on this setup.

Hmm… interesting, I know that works with the mirror modifier, but it seems to work also if there is no face along the edge you don’t want the inset. I tried “tricking” the inset by hiding the adjoining faces, but unfortunately it didn’t work.

So only if you either delete adjoining faces or p>Selection, inset, then join them back together.
