Hi, well, I haven’t got past square 1. I ran the install (I’m on OS X 10.4.8) but when I try to open the application the icon blinks briefly then goes out.
Obviously something I’m missing. Suggestions please?

Probably Python 2.3 or 2.4, depending on which version of Blender you downloaded (there are two for macs). Get it from www.python.org.

It’s almost certainly a Python issue but rather than installing Python, just install the correct Blender for what you have - it’s much easier. If you don’t think you’ve ever installed Python then you probably have the default Py2.3 so download Blender for Python 2.3. It will have “py2.3” somewhere in the downloaded file name.
