i just downloadeed it but all it gave me was a zipped file so i just made a folder on my desktop called blender and extracted it there is there a way i can put the folders somewhere else and make a desktop shortcut. oh and when the 64 bit is ready i will be uninstalling this one and installing that one. No criticism please i know this is a stupid question
For windows 7 or vista(i think its the same in vista)
Right Click your blender folder select “CUT” or by hiting Ctrl+X then Go to Start>Computer>Local Disk>Program files, Paste the folder here by ctrl+V then go into the folder.
Once your inside the folder right click blender go to “send to” option and then click desktop(create shortcut)
Hope this is easy to read and follow
it will move blender to the place other programs are installed and place a shortcut on your desktop screen
You can also download blender as a .exe which is just like installing any other program.
