Hey everyone, I am new to blender and I have a few questions in whic you may be able to answer.

When I load blender a dos screen also displays saying ‘no installed python found’ and 'only built in python modules are available. Is this normal? I have python installed on my pc, so I am wondering if there is a problem.

Any answers would be much appreciated!

which version of python do you have?
blender can only use 2.3.x right now (2.3.5 being the latest)

and make sure to set your pythonpath (look in the python forum for help)

If you wonder what is this dos windows, it’s the console if you code or use python script, this is gonna be very usefull.

Thanks a lot for the replies! I am a noob at this but I really want to learn.

I have python 2.2 installed, so I assume its just a matter of setting the Python Path? I will check out the python forums on how to do this. Thanks a lot for the help :slight_smile:
