My question is simple: Is it possible to create one master copy of an object, and instance it across scenes? For example, say I have a player character object with all its logic and code. Can I instance this object in different scenes (levels) so that I only have to modify the original and have the changes take effect in all instances? It seems like a necessary convenience to me, but I can’t seem to figure out how.
You can by linking an object from a scene into another scene. Go to Object -> Make Links -> Objects to Scene, and select the scene you want.
Or you can stick it in another blend file and link it from there, or, dynamically libLoad it.
