I remember there was a similar post here before, but I think is nice to look at again. Just that today I was checking the Intel® Core™ i7-920XM processor Extreme Edition and found that for 3D benchmark they use Blender:
they use 2.48
In a way I think more and more companies will do this in order to lower costs by using creative commons and freeware. Makes sense.
