So I downloaded the new rev3 release of Blender for OSX: blender-2.43RC3-darwin-8.x-py2.3-i386-bz.dmg
But when I open the image file, it says that the Blender version is 2.42, not 2.43.
I double checked myself to make sure I did not download the wrong version, sure enough It says that it is 2.42, not 2.43
has anyone else have this problem?
Mr. S
i think some release candidates may not say 2.43 because the new splash is not up until the official release. Or it could just be a typo. Or it could be an error but i would doubt it.
thanks M.A.

Only the official release will have a change of version numbers. Main thing is does it have the new tools?

Yeah, that threw me for a loop for a couple of seconds as well. Then I saw that I had sculpt mode, yep, 2.43 rc3.

Hello, has anyone been able to mount 2.43? everytime i try to mount the .dmg I get an “unrecognized” error. Anyone else having this problem?
I’m on a mac pro running 10.4.8
btw, this is about the final release, not the rc’s.
