Interactive tables, good idea, or flop waiting to happen

This and many others are an example of an interactive table developed by a different company, some are multiuser, a recent one even can track your shadow on the table. This one, while the chairs are not wireless, can track the positions of multiple users and your hands. (watch the video of a guy playing warcraft 3 on this), one good thing this may come to would be better and quicker modeling, texturing, animating, and rendering abilities for 3d apps like Blender especially if a stylus or different trackable tools were used and faster painting for paint programs.

When it comes to things like using it to read though, i’d still wait for the device that opens like a book and is interactive like the one in hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy.

I am all for this, it’s damn near perfect.

How much would something like this cost? I am guessing not much more than the price of the projector, since the software can run on pretty much any decent PC.

You still need the table though. That’d probably be very expensive.

Would be great to work on.
