Interior of the Tucan House - BCG

Hi guys,

This is a work done in Blender, rendered in Cycles and with a post pro in Gimp (BCG)

Let me know what do you think. I have to outdoors, I personally like the first one much more than the other. Eager to hear your thoughts.

I like the first one too. My only concern is that you can see the sun right on the horizon, but it doesnā€™t seem to be casting a strong direct light into your room.

In fact, I had another background, I searched for this one because of the low sun towards the camera. The light enters the room from that direction. And provides a soft shadow, because of the sunsetā€¦ is that not well made on the render?

Looking very nice. I see the sun coming from off camera right myself. The viewers right. Couldnā€™t you just dial the background back a notch since it seems overexposed right now anyway.

I see what you are saying, I was looking for that glare but maybe I went over the top! I will review that.
Thanks you old ghost!

this is a bit color corrected!

The first one makes more sense for the design because I canā€™t imaging anyone building that kind of architecture to have a good view of ā€œthatā€ kind of nature, the ocean makes more sense, though is there suppose to be a glass door there and some curtains of some kind to block the light (the things there right now are far too thin/short for that purpose)? Another logic gap to me is the pool outside, I just looked that up and okay, there are ā€œpoolsā€ next to ocean/large bodies of water and the logic in this case escapes me (small scale residential use) so Iā€™ll just leave it at that.
I do have to say though, there should be ā€œsomethingā€ back there, like a wall, fence or something to separate the building from the outside, I mean not necessarily for security reasons but maybe make the floor higher from the ground or add a curved wall back there from the house but ā€œsomethingā€.

Did you make all the models here or did you use assets from elsewhere? Iā€™m mostly eying the carpet > chairs > lamp/hanging ornament thing.

Oh and the color corrected image looks far better btw.

Thanks for your answer Edtion!

I think the ocean is the right choice also, but you will be surprised on how many people choose the mountain as a backgroundā€¦
There are glass doors, but I think the glass itā€™s too clean, even when I placed some dirt on the cornersā€¦ I donā€™t like curtains to be honest, I will review if I want something to block the light. I agree that something to block the light itā€™s needed.
The pool was requested, this was made under specifications, here you have the BP of the ground floor:

Furniture placing was modified.

I model everything but the cushions, the pot, the lamp and the coffee table. Those are from AA from AP.

You gotta be more specific when using abbreviations, I mean when I saw this reply in YM from BA, you can probably infer what I mean by that but going to G or YT isnā€™t going to help figure that out.

AA and AP are?

Itā€™s Architecture academy from Andrew Priceā€¦ Of course! What else could it be silly?

sorry I did not made myself clear! Architecture Academy assets.
