Interior scene

Hi everyone!

I’m a new member and I want to present to you my first render in Blender.
I’m freelance CG Artist and the webmaster of 3dgoodplace.com
I’m working on 3DS MAX and Vray but I wanted to test Blender!

This image is mostly inspired by a picture that I saw on internet.
Rendered with Cycles render with blender 2.69 ( I have to update I now ^^ )

I hope you will enjoy and feel free to comment!

Thx you!

Very nice! I especially like how you integrated the background image - so natural. The only minor flaw I see is that you frame the shot very tight and you cut the legs of the table.

Pretty sweet work !!

Very nice indeed. I’m inclosing a link where he says realistic CG has to mimic a camera. And, with that thought in mind he says to overexpose the exterior in a interior scene. You have to assume because people are so use to seeing that. Hollywood when filming use to use grey plastic sheets on the windows to avoid this. So according to him your treatment of the background is right on time.

Welcome to the forum! A very nice work  How are you liking blender?

Amazing! This is really nice. The lighting is perfect!

Thanks a lot to comment and giving advice!
I’m working on a furniture pack specialy for blender cycles

Nice lighting and details!

Thank’s see more of my works on my websites!

welcome to the forums and nice image:)

As you’ve already noted, you really need to update your version of Blender. If you’re new to Blender you’ll quickly realize that the pace it improves is unheard of in the commercial software world. 2.7 (3 at the time of this post) has a lot more tools/toys available. enjoy the journey!

Hello Willbinet, wonderful job. Can you comment more on the material and the texture of the lamp?

Great looking render. The only comment I would have is that the background Image is too sharp especially just behind the chair. If this were taken with a real camera it’s unlikely the dof wouldn extend that far.

Hello!
Thanks for comment

About the texture of the lamp it’s very basic:

A diffuse map and a glossy shader with a mix shader.
Then just a bump.

If you want, I could make a screen shot of my node editor. Everythinks is very basic.
The rest is done with compositing.

Thanks for asking

Hello Willbinet, if you can mostraro map node, would help a lot.

Sweet! Makes me want to go there.

Hello!
Here is the screenshot of the node editor of the lamp. I’m very sorry for the late reply, I had a lot of work these last time…
As I said it’s very basic. I hope it will help you!

Thanks for sharing

Great work. Very good mood.

Very basic, very simple. Awesome work.

Thank you so much for your comments! Tomorrow I will post my last blender render!
