I like the subdivision on the exauster, but you clearly need to fix a few things all over your scene:
- Smoothing the polys of the table using Shade Smooth or the Edge Split modifier.
- Lighting is getting nice, needs textures though.
But this is a very good start.
I tried both but none of them seemed to work, any more ideas ?
None of them worked? How come? Have you tried searching some tutorials on how to use them?
Here’s a tip: you can select the polys that make up the leg of the table, separate them with P, then press the Shade Smooth button in Object Mode and finally join it to the table again with J.
Hope that was helpfull.
thank you.
you don’t have to seperate them.
Just select the edges and press “shade smooth”.
Or you could select the whole table, shade smooth.
And then add the “Split edge” modifier to make sharper angles shaded as sharp.
New Render :
Oops double posted.
Are you by chance using exact measurements while you’re modeling? If so, great; however, if you’re not, then you should get the exact measurements of things such as wall height, counter height (including width and depth), as well as the table.
As it stands, the proportions seem so far off that I feel as though I’m looking at a dollhouse – nothing looks real. Not because of the colors or anything, but because the proportions seem to be incorrect.
Good luck and keep it up
*edit - Don’t take any of that the wrong way. I sincerely want to help you. If you check out the work on my site, you will see the interiors I have created. Even though they are lit, pay no attention to that, but instead look at the proportions. I will link you to a kitchen so that you can see – http://www.vertexcomplex.com/3d_Models/kitchen.jpg

Textures will also add to it, but yeah, good proportions are needed.
I think you should start a new WIP thread.
My latest render:
That certainly looks a lot better Try putting some textures on the cabinets, it would look more realistic.
It’s really unfortunate you didn’t take my advice earlier. No amount of textures or materials is going to save this scene, unless you’re trying to make a doll house. Even then, the proportions are so far from correct, even Barbie would feel out of place in there.
Imagine a human sized-person standing at that sink. Now compare him to the table behind him. Do you understand?
