Hi,
Press F2 after downloading the file: me I can’t see the green grid(grill) in the render under Blender 2.58 of GNU Linux Ubuntu 11.10.
Do you know why?

On the properties panel, go to the object menu, and under the duplication tab, change faces to none. This should solve the problem
