How do you set up reflection?
I try to use a plane for only shadows an set up ray mirror but nothing!
BTW im using blender internal.

elclanrs: Do you mean reflection on the iPhone or the table? I used angular map for reflection and lighting and that´s the reflection you see in on the iphone. The reflection on the table was simply done by adding reflectivity to the material of the table. The table is modeled. If I understand you correct you want shadows and reflections on a see thru plane. That´s what I wanted too but couldn’t find how to do. That´s why I modeled the table and tried to match it to the original.

What Camera tracking software did you use?
Aviage: I used PFHoe Pro from Pixelfarm. It´s a simpler and cheaper edition of PFTrack.
I like PFHoe, It´s intuitive. Not as potent as BouJou of course, but the price difference is enourmous!
I saw someone using somthing called “Voodoo” Heard of it?

Yes Boujou is too high priced for us Blender users. I don’t know voodoo because it´s Windows and Linux only and I’m on osx. But I think it’s a free download.

OK, the reason i´m so curious is that i´m also very interested in photo-realistic filmwork. I´m pretty new to Blender. Below is a test I carried out a couple of days ago in Blenders Physics engine.
I am hoping to be able to integrate physics in video material as well.

Scale - i mean how do you know that the Iphone is as large in frame as a real Iphone standing on the table would be?

Adding that kind of physics and photorealism onto real video would definitely make some awesome looking videos!
As for the scale I just eyeballed the iphone in relation to the rest.
One way to get the right scale is to take measurements to parts of the real world scene and compare and match it with the blender scene. To do this you must convert the mm’s to blender units. There may be easier ways which I don’t know about.

In boujou, you can select to trackpoints and type in how far apart the are in the real world. Then boujou scales the 3Dscene to match reality.
Maybe it can be done in PFtrack as well?
Looks very nice! I haven’t tried it yet but I am interested in camera tracking myself. I noticed you had the green tape on the table I guess to help out the software since you’re just using a flat white surface. What did you do to remove the green tape in the final? Is there a plane that’s actually rendered with the iPhone?
Aviage: You most likely can do that in PFTrack which is the fully featured (and much more expensive) 3d tracker from Pixelfarm. As I mentioned earlier I’m using PFHoe which has a lot less features but uses the same solve logarithm as PFTrack. PFHoe doesn’t seem to have any scale features at all except for manually scaling of the ground plane.
H3X: Yes the green tape helps the tracker software. And yes I modeled a box to fit the actual table and added material to match the original. Some tweaking with lights and colorcorrection in AE.
