IPO add actuator difficulties

Hi, I’m having an issue with getting a game object to add its IPO. I’ve attached a .blend so you can see what I mean.

The problem is that every time I press ‘W’ to play an IPO, and I tell it to add, I get an unpredicted upward movement. I assumed this was because it was adding location from the object’s origin point and the animation.

I’ve tried Alt O to clear origin and I’ve tried Ctrl A to apply object location. Nothing seems to clear the origin.

Please help me :D, and please tell me if more clarification is needed after taking a look at the .blend.
