Irritating Flashproblem with Vimeo

Hello. I ask you people here at the forum. My problem is:

For years I have use Vimeo to upload my blendfiles and stored them at my Vimeoalbum without problem.

All of a sudden a few days ago , I can not download my blend files in Vimeo . Vimeo Support is very unpleasant they refer only to their download process list . I do all this but after five years I know what to do. I get a message stating that it is wrong compression seen accession . 170 videos before has there not been any problems but last week. I suspect that the latest upgrade to my iMac Intel 10.6.6 to 10.6.7 a week ago has made the Flash 10.2 do not work . I get more Flashmessages namely all the time . Vimeo support does not listen . Do you have the same problem and how you solved the problem . I uninstall both Adobe Flash 10.2 and Adobe Air and re- installed it all again , with same negative results . I’m plus membership .
How can I start downloading my blend files again on Vimeo without problem.
Thanks
Karl

My previous post got no answer so I try again.

Since all Blender users use Vimeo I am surprised that no one answers that should have had the same problems as me.
Here is the background to the problem again.

I have on my iMac Intel 10.4 - 10.6.6 (64bits) worked with Blender 2.4 - 2:56 (64bits) in nearly five years without any problems with downloads of blend files to my Vimeoalbum. I have over 170 videos at my Vimeoalbum and codec-settings has always been AVI - H.264 HD 1920 x 1080 without any problems (Vimeo) requires me to have the Flash 10.2. I have both uninstalled and re-installed Flash 10.2 from Adobe Flash. Still same problem

The problems began a week ago, when Apple upgraded my iMac from 10.6.6 to 10.6.7. Since then refuses Vimeo and YouTube to download my blend files with error messages all the time I download blendfiles as converted to BLE ??? instead of AVI or MOV. What BLE come from I dont know. I not want it to be the BLE. I suspect it is a bug in Vimeo prosessors that converted my blendfiles to become videos. Of course BLE does not work as codec format to make videos.
The question is, if there is a bug in the Vimeo or Adobe not had time to upgrade Flash 10.2 to 10.6.7 iMac yet.
I have mailed both Adobe and Vimeoforum who refuse because they are the problem.
So here I sit with the blend files that can not be converted to video at Vimeo or Youtube.

My ScreenFlow files that are AVI work fine, but things ending with _blend refuses conversion.
As you can see on one screen shot so are all the blend files in Flash dimmed, light gray (dead)

What can I do
Thanks in advance
Kalle

Its reads as though having vimeo or youtube hosting .blend files. It doesn’t make sense. You can’t just convert a .blend file to a video file. (BLE = the first three charaters from.blend)

Thanks for reply, but you missunderstand me.
Where can I put BLE. Where, and why, and why only last week.
You know I need to name my blenderfile with somthing + _blend " Example " cartoon_blend and download this file in to Vimeo. I have always use AVI and H.264 and never had any problem and never se BLE.

I am sure, somthing happen during the time Vimeo (downloading- coverting- system) try to convert my blendfile in to a video but a bug create BLE instead of AVI.
I never se BLE before and I can not even choose BLE if I wanted. You know that.
Thanks
Karl

I’ve uploaded the rendered avi animation from the attached test blend to vimeo successfully which I believe are the same codec settings you are using.
The result http://vimeo.com/22213806
I’m running OX 10.6.7 and flash as shown
I’m using blender 2.57RC2 from http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.57/
Download the latest flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Download the 10.2 file and run the installer that downloads. Then I’d restart your mac.
Also try another browser, I use chrome.

Uploading just the blend file failed (gave the BLE file, not aware of it ever working so you’ll have to render the animation and upload that)

Rickard Thanks for reply.
I have step by step done what you told me. Look at my ScreenFlow video, there is everything. http://vimeo.com/22232477

I have (3) Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome and I change from Safari to Crome.
You told me to change from Safari to Chrome. I did and when I try to install Flash to Chrome I got a message. Chrome is already installed with Flash. OK I still got BLE files at Vimeo. I try to install Flash at my iMac to. Still BLE.

The only way I have found to get any video into vimeo or youtube or any other video site is to use the render button inside blender to render out a movie file, either a .mov or .avi file and then upload that .avi/.mov file to vimeo. I have never uploaded a blend file itself to vimeo and was not aware that it ever worked.

It may just mean changing how you upload your movies but should give you a good upload. That’s why the screenflow upload was ok as it was a .mov file that you uploaded.

Try downloading this file and then uploading it to vimeo, it should upload ok

Hello again Rickard .
Your last message surprised me very much .

1 )
Have I ever tried to download a blendfil to Vimeo without first rendered the project by pressing . ANIM button . Never
2 )
The ScreenFlow works with avi in Vimeo is not strange , but try to use _blend at ScreenFlow, that will not work.
3 )
Watch my video at ScreenFlow , which proves that it is not possible to rename the blendfil by changing from flag5_blend to flag6.avi . Vimeo did not recognize the file .

4 )
Your test file test.avi dont open with Vimeo , but my four attempts this morning went well .
