didn’t know where to post but i am working on an image based on a painting someone did because i admire their work. if i make this nice would it be legal for me to post my finished image in my portfolio as long as i have a link to the original painter? Or would i have to also contact them and ask for consent first?
I’m pretty sure you should at least ask for consent and credit them if they give it. I’m not an expert on this, so don’t quote me.
