Is an angled end possible with geometry nodes?

Is this possible in geometry nodes?

Maybe some adjustment to the cube?

I’m fairly new to geometry nodes.

Basically I would like to create a beam with angle edges to the ends a have the ability to scale along the x-axis, with angle cut constant and effected by the scale.

The angle on each end is 45 deg, so the points inward position would equal to the y-axis dimension.

So if the y-axis dimension = 2, then points would be positioned 2 inward which would create the 45 deg angle .

I’d like to do this solely within geometry nodes if possible.

Hope this all makes sense.

I’m not an expert in geometry nodes, but I think a boolean rotated 45° should work, and controlling the offset you should be able to have the desired result

Starting with a 2x2 grid and extruding appropriately. I’m using 3.2-beta here but should be no problem in 3.0 +.

Thank you both.

In the end I went with a version from Cuckoo on discord, see attached.
It’s always good to know more than one way to approach a build though as I’m just learning.
I’ve not heard of the grid and extruded mesh nodes before, so I’m interested to see how they work
Thank you very much for your time

Hi,
The explanation for that method is explained in the following video:
