I tried out CamStudio, but then, I clicked Record, It minimized.
I tried to open it back up, it gave me 5 billion error messages,
“ERROR, NO SHORTCUT!”
I close the program, then suddenly the compu flashes green and white!!!
I shut the 'puter down.
HELP!
yes, it was the same with me. Don’t minimize camstudio version2.6
Did you install it properly? Run in admin mode?
My advice: don’t use camstudio. Try BB flashback. Google it they have a free version
If it is for blender, why no use Blender’s in-built screencast recorder. It works 10 times better.

Yes, Camstudio is evil. My camstudio does not record mouse cursor changes in win7 64-bit.
I have used many-many screenrecorders and now I use screencast-o-matic.com.
I have been using Blender for how long and I didn’t even hear about this?!?! I saw the option in the preferences, but I didn’t know it did anything. I thank you for yet another tip in case I ever do tutorials again.
Yeah, it is evil, but it still works–sort of. I spent a half hour recording one part of a tutorial and when it finished, the file was unplayable-- 3 times!

As far as I can tell CamStudio is pretty good.
win 7 64bit.
It just needs some experimentation when testing/setting it up.
