Since I’m new to game editing I figure I should learn with the newest version since it’s so much different from the old ones. But I was wondering if it was stable for making games since it’s still in alpha.
I’m making one myself in 2.5, but since you’re learning there’s more material for the older versions. It might be frustrating finding some of the stuff. Alpha 2 has been working very well for me except when adding extra texture layers when using glsl, and when using animation maps. Both of those features are very glitchy. It’s stable enough to work with, but if your learning use 2.49. But ultimately it’s up to you.
Edit: Haven’t had a chance to try out the logic bricks or python yet, so I can’t really tell you entirely yes or no.
