Is it normale to use blender when you are 8 years

I just wondered.Is it normale to use blender if you are 8 years??
I am 13 years old and started when i was 7-8 years.Is that normale :wink:

I started when I was, 16 years. The first time I downloaded blender was at my 15th, but I deleted it because It was to hard to learn, but afther some thinking and using 3Ds Max, I realised that Blender was just a great app. So I used many tutorials, and afther some weeks I could made a little 3d object. :stuck_out_tongue:

I never used a tuturial. hehe i just locked at some other demos a looooong time and i made my ovn games after a very long time. i did not lay them out :frowning: becausm i did not have my own websit.(the games was not so god anyway hehe :smiley: )

well …normal is a very broad term …especially in the open-source world.

i don’t know what others think, but i’m completely ok with the fact that a youngster can blend better then me …being a linux user for quite some time (and with that an OSS user), i can say that it doesn’t surprise me anymore to find a young person outbeat old cats …i mean i’m a complete noobie in blender (or in any other 3d app) and i’m going to be 20 in a month or so :smiley:

but don’t let this get into your head! i know quite a few programming talents which went bad because they thought they rule the world …needless to say they dropped out of university for comuter science, because they thought the teachers couldn’t teach them anything more. now a few of them are just type-monkeys for big computer companies …whatever you do, there’s always at least one person better and at least one worse in it then you :smiley: …don’t forget it :wink:

That’s pretty cool! It means that when you get older you will probably be better than the rest of us hehe.

Heh, I’m 13 and I started when I was 10. I don’t think there are a lot of people who started as young as you, but I wouldn’t call it abnormal.

2-3 hours a day of blender is fairly normal I believe :slight_smile:

If I knowed blender at an age of 6, I had used it. But I got my first computer when I was 13, and got internet when I was 16. So when I was online, I downloaded Blender. :stuck_out_tongue:

I started about 3 years ago, when i was 12 or 11. It’s not THAT abnormal, it’s been done before.

Man, i too wish i had started so young. I was 22 when i first tried PovRay, and when i really got into 3D with Blender i was 23!!! :o

BTW, I started blending when I was 23, about five months ago!!
