Is it possible for a mesh to emit blasts of smoke at two different times?

Hi,

I’m trying to have an object emit smoke at two different times. I have tried adding two smoke particle systems to the mesh, but when I bake the system only the first particle system gets baked. The other one is ignored.

Can a mesh have multiple smoke particle systems attached to it? If so, how do I do it?

See the thread “Add New Particles Settings” button earlier this week for an example .blend file.

I think (not sure) you can only have one particle system/mesh emitting smoke. You need to duplicate your emitter for the other particle system.

Yes. Sure you can.
Just duplicate emitter object and settings and change start/end emission
