Is it possible to customize input in that way...

Hello every one
Is it possible to customize input in Blender 2.49 in that way:

  1. Select and manipulate objects - LMB (done)
  2. Rotate view - hold RMB
  3. Pan view - hold MMB (done)
  4. Set 3D cursor - click MMB

I’ve done with 1 and 3, but I cant rotare view with RMB

PS. I just begin to using Bender and I will use it simultaneously with other 3D apps.
Therefore I want to smooth of switching between them but Blender have very unique controls

keymap changes are not possible with blender 2.4x
in blender 2.5 however you can do this. if you are very new to blender, maybe using 2.5 from the beginning would be preferable. just get a 2.55 beta blender version. it is very stable and has lots of improvements (including customiation of keymaps)

OK, thanks for answer!
I find some learning stuff about 2.5x and will focus on that version

yet another question: by default if I click-and-drag the select-mouse-button (RMB by default) anywhere in 3D view Blender will activate something similar to grab-mode (shortcut “G”) and translate currently selected objects. Is it possible to replace this behavior with something similar to Border Select (shortcut “B”) like in most other (not only 3D-) apps?
