As the heading asks. I’ve just discovered the right click context menu, but I’d still just rather hit w and get it done rather than go clicking around.
Blender can assign a hotkey to any function you want. Rightclick so that you get the context menu, then right click the ‘subdivide’ option. There should be an option called ‘assign hotkey’ which lets you assign whatever key you want to it!
