Hello,

Is it possible to scale an object in certain direction with object’s origin set to geometry?

Hello

You can set pivot point to “3D cursor”, in order to use the 3D cursor as center of scale.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this approach is quite unstable when implemented via Python. It’s also possible to add an Empty object at the bottom and link all meshes to it, but I’d like to find a “native” way to scale geometry in a certain direction.

If you want a native “python” way to do it, you could use the bpy.ops.transform.resize operator, and all its params, like constraint_axis, constraint_orientation, etc…

See the doc here
