Is it safe to provide more RAM memory to integrated GPU?

Hey, I’m working on old laptop with integrated AMD GPU and 4gb of ram (512mb provided to GPU by default). And don’t tell me about upgrade, the cheapest acceptable laptop (yes, I can’t use PC) is ~450$ + shipping which is unacceptable price for me.
So, I have a small scene which I need to render in 4k in EEVEE, the highest resolution I can render without crash is ~2600x1900. If I go higher, blue screen pops up. But peak usage of RAM is ~700mb, so I think it’s related to lack of vRAM since Eevee is highly depends on GPU
So here’s the question - can I increase amount of provided ram (via BIOS) without causing fatal damage to laptop?

Ram and Vram is separate as far as i know.

I don’t think increasing your clock speeds is going to do much since you’re lacking memory, not speed.

What is your avg temp for GPU and CPU when rendering?

Hi, no damage possible the OS manage it to use the shared memory lately.
I set this to 1024 or more often in the past.
Nevertheless, a word about to update your system:
I bought refurbished laptops for my customers and for me many times.
My laptop HP Elitebook 8570p i7 8 GB was only 279€ with warranty and in perfect shape. The company I bought from buy leasing systems, test and clean them up and resell.

Cheers, mib
