Is there a better way to simulate softbody?

I meant this https://xeofrios.gumroad.com/l/squish?layout=profile i haven’t bought it to test it for that type of collision such as legs, but for boobs dynamics it won’t work unless you want that squish feature only…

Pro tip: search a page in Google called smutba.se and you will find a library of free nsfw models with some of them having boob and butt dynamics setup in blender…

Can you link of a good example that has collision? because I haven’t seen one and the old cage method just isn’t good enough.

For example https://smutba.se/project/34100/

I checked it and the artist expects you to use wiggle bones and the good old cloth sim cage. There is no instruction on how to make his cages work either. The settings that come with the file doesn’t move at all when played in timeline.

Again, I don’t think that this method is good enough.

It’s a cloth sim, it not meant to work in real-time (because is very slow to compute) you need to make some animation poses without that modifier enabled of course and re-enable it and bake the sim on the desired keyframes, to be able to see the effect with the baked sim on real-time…

You’re looking for a magic button- there’s no one click solution, but with some experimentation, you should be able to get what you need out of the various methods discussed on this thread

Yeah and is not neither as interactive as he may think
it is is very slow to compute in real-time making it imposible to view, unless is baked first…

This work from him is all done in blender, if you feel interested on how he does it he has a Patreon which shares the files (warning p*rn content here) https://twitter.com/kisx3D?s=20&t=G-O4wllcsRCjpwOzZ427Gg

Technically speaking pornographic content isn’t allowed on this forum, but… I’m going to let it slide because it’s in an educational context and it’s not directly embedded in the forum (no images or videos are visible on this thread), and you’ve clearly labeled the dangerous links. (Thank you!) Just this once, I think the value to the conversation outweighs the cost. (Bart, if you disagree, let me know and I’ll amend this)

Don’t worry i can delete the link, if he wants it i just write him PM

Nah, no worries. Leave it up unless another staff member says otherwise. Just keep labeling any future links in this thread clearly

It’s not even a magic button or baking problem. As I said in the beginning, the cage keeps its shape way too much compared to a plain rigged mesh. No amount of trial and error can save it. The squish geonode is way too slow too, it seems.

I have started a basic geonode collision tree. I would appreciate greatly if the geonode gurus can help out.
Edit: link Basic geonode collision tree! Help improve please!

Otherwise, I think we would need to dig up the simulation codes and keep the essentials.

YES…

Don’t you Bake your Simulations? Let me ask that differently: Do you see the Blue bar at the bottom of your timeline? When you scrub through or play the sim it gets auto Baked…
So whether you do or don’t it’s still baked to memory…

It doesn’t matter much anymore, my geonode group will probably be faster than Xeofrios’ and give good enough results at least.

That’s quite a claim… you know Xeofrios made playable Tetris in geometry nodes just the other day, right?

I don’t prowl the forum that much so I don’t know. I know that there are people who are very good with geonodes, but the state of the affairs is that no one came up with a fast enough to be practical solution yet. I am not as ambitious as him trying to fix joint deform with geonodes. But I’m confident that my tree will work good and fast enough with a cage that totally follows the armature (unlike cloth/soft sims). There is only a last big issue, that is the mesh deforming before contact. If you know how to fix it, please help, I have attached the problematic tree to my post in the other thread.

It’s not just a claim anymore. It’s a fact. It’s DONE. Tree execution takes just 2.4 milliseconds.

Edit: no baking whatsoever, real time.

Yes, but Xeofrios’ looks a lot better… but if you’re happy, that’s what matters

His tree is slow though. I just tested on rigged cage (since I can’t do anything about geonode’s reliance on origin), hitting 30+ fps no sweat, on a midlevel machine.
