Is there a bevel workaround yet?

I really miss being able to bevel an edge in 2.5, and it is seriously screwing up my workflow. I know about the technique where you set the edge weights and use the modifier, but it just isn’t productive.

Is there any way to get this back in 2.5 yet? Currently, I find myself having to create a new edgeloop and then slide it over,… then tweak. This used to be one quick step.

They may be holding off on the edge bevel until Bmesh is finished, but who knows, they may just reintegrate some of that stuff a little at a time before that though.

There is a bevel addon but I’ve found its results can vary
