is there a script to turn square grid to a circle ?

I saw the bevel center script… Why is that not a replacement for bevel tool yet ??

Anyway, say I have a sphere and want to extrude a circle from the left of it, the mesh topoligy is never a perfect circle, and futzing with scale push pull screws with the topoligy of the mesh, besides boolean is there a way to make circles loops out of grids ? Knife tool looks like it would work, but it makes more mesh instead, when Al i want to do is quicky work with teh mesh I have…

Select the verts you want to circularize, use Shift-S to center the cursor in the middle of the selection, then use the To Sphere button in the editing panels. You might have to scale to zero along one axis first if the verts are not already coplanar.

The bevel script works ok , the fact it takes a few more steps to use it as a script is no hardship, there so many new things being added all the time we cant really complain.

Oh I gogt it !
select all of those verts and merge them then use the bevel at center script !

Sweet! , I mean it still f’s with the mesh and makes polys not to mention tris… but it works…
hmmmm maybe a job for jms
