Is there a way align edges to have the same length?

Is there a way to align edges to have the same length as in not manually measuring it? I want the short one to have the same length as the longer one.

One solution with create a vertex point at the desired position to snap to.

• create one separate edge with the desired length
• rotate and snap it so it works as ruler
• snap the desired point to the end of the ruler
