Is there a way to delete numerous vertex groups in one stroke?

When I look at the list of vertex groups in blender, I can usually only delete one at a time. There doesn’t seem to be an option to delete multiple selected vertex groups at once. I wondered if such a thing exists and how to do it?

Under +/- buttons, next to list of vertex groups, there is a V popover menu.
If you press on it, you will see several operators to manage the list.
You should find 2 useful operators in it.
Delete All Groups.
Delete Unlocked Groups.

To follow on from Zeauro, if you lock the groups you want to keep, then delete unlocked groups, you can remove all the redundant ones. Don’t forget to unlock afterwards.

Thank you. Both of these answers really helped me out a lot.
