Is there a way to display a camera as a texture in cycles?

Is there any way to display the captured information from a camera, and use it as a texture in cycles? For example:
In the game Super Smash Bros Melee,
http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/todsfw1tUj8/maxresdefault.jpg uses footage from an in-game camera to use as a live texture on a screen. Is there any way to do this in cycles?

I don’t think there is but you can do it in post. I mean, think about it, if you apply the whole scene as a texture, you will have to render the scene to get the image which will not work properly because that texture will be blank.

you could save an animation then re use it as a texture !
