I’m having to create lots of objects just to store all kinds of different meshes. I need them for when I select something or mouse over something and I want the object to change in some way. is there a way to store all your different meshes in one place?
Another layer and remember there names?
cluster them in layers?
I dont know if it helps but this is the best way I can explain how to store multiple meshes in an object.
Hope that helps.
Hope you can wade through the spelling mistakes
Edit: you could then use the replacemesh actuator to swap meshes
I’ve been clustering them all in their own layer, but I don’t like doing it that way. I don’t think I like the idea of using “libLoad” either, but I don’t know much about “libLoad”.
thanks for the step-by-step guide
I’m not sure how to use replacemesh with the meshs that aren’t attached to any object. everything I’ve tried so far has failed. any ideas?
it would be nice if you could place a object in a object or a script in a object and select “running” like in secondlife,
but the api is so much different here.
