is there a way to transfer a theme from one computer too another

Hello,

And that 's my question. In blender 2.63 is there a way to transfer a theme from one computer to another?

I have tried saving a file and open it in another pc. I tried to find a file or section in the folder installation. And well, I’m asking :stuck_out_tongue:

regards

Then, maybe this addon will help…

Thanks eppo, but that one doesn’t work.

Well, in niel 3D (spanish speakers forum) someone (soliman) told me this:

They have chanded the themes system
but there is a way to copy the blender configuration that is in a file that it creates itself called
startup.blend

In Windows 7 and vista this file is hidden (commonly)
There is a path to which you can acces through this way.
In the search for apps and files bar, write appdata,
when you write this, if this doesn’t open this folder, open it.
then go to the roaming folder. In this one you’ll find a Blender Foundation folder
(this is not the one located at program files, they just share the name but they are different)
Then go into the blender folder, chose the 2.63 folder and, at last the config folder

The path ends up like this:
Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.63\config
Is in this folder where is saved startup.blend

Copy this file and in another computer, follow the same path and PASTE the file. Now blender wil load with the same configuration as the other computer.

The path for linux is this
/home/Home folder/.blender/2.63/config->startup.blend.

see ya

Sorry, was reading ‘Theme’. I always keep my User preferences separate for different versions of blender in config folder for that version, just did not think of ‘theme’ as that. There are some to choose from in user prefs, so i decided you have something in addition to this list.

Happy blending!

HEre I wrote a tutorial about it
