without having solidworks?
Simlab Composer will read SolidWorks files, and you could export a mesh that would open in Blender.
There is a trial available which allows saving/exporting for a limited time. The SolidWorks importer does not give a lot of control over the conversion from nurbs to a mesh, so you might end up with some poor triangulation.
A better option would be to export an STL directly from SolidWorks, where there is better control over the triangulation.
If you need quads you would have to retopologize in either case.
