Is there way to control the grid in side view?

I have setup 0.5m grid but sometimes I need to work in side view and I run into problems since the grid snapping behaves differently there. Is there way to control the side view grid size to match with the 3d view?

My 0.5v grid in 3d view.

Same grid in side view. However now it snaps to those smaller subgrids so it seems like its subdivided 10 times.

Hi, i think its the same grid just that the highlighted lines are not as bright?

It also snaps on the smaller sections so while in 3d view I snap on 0.5 meters in side view it snaps on I think 0.05meters so its a lot more tricky to place things on 0.5 meters grid
