If you preview it also in the screen size of the target console you get a better idea. Say for example is mobile phone or something handheld, you rarely get to see enough high details in such low dimensions.
But in general terms if we talk about a retro style game this is the only right way to create it.

Additionally i also say the texture fits the topology… so perfect.
It’s beautiful, especially love the texture!. My only objection is that games use trigons, you’ve still got a lot of quads in that. Any quad can be split into tris two different ways, one is often better than the other, and relying on the automatic split can cause distortion. Best practice (so I’ve heard, I don’t do many game assets) is to convert to trigons in Blender and fix any splits you’re not happy with before exporting.
IMO if you used separate pieces for the branches, you could then reconfigure them into several different trees.
