Is this possible in Blender?

Hi,

I am new to Blender and I was wondering if this is possible in Blender.
It´s an interactive Bevel, Scale, Rotate- setup, which reacts on a falloff (inside volume, also texture).

Haven’t seen the movie, but i guess It is possible with Dupliverts and Cylinder (that shape, animating it is easy too)

create a cylinder. add several edges to distribute the faces. create a cube, resize it small. The parent the cylinder to cube (Ctrl+P) . IN object properties of cylinder > Duplication > Select Face or Vertice.

Seen this here day or two back already… I’d suggest looking into nikitron’s Sverchok nodes. It should be possible using these; if not today maybe in some time.
