I sincerely apologize if this is not an appropriate topic for this sub; feel free to ignore or delete if so.
In any case, here’s what I want. I switch between 3DCoat and Blender constantly for work, so I do my best to match their settings and hotkeys. One thing that drives me mad is the way that snapping to orthographic views in 3DC is done by rotating the camera and pressing shift to snap to an ortho view, while in Blender I do the same with the Alt key. It’s one of the few discrepancies where there doesn’t seem to be any way in the settings of either app to change this. (If you don’t know this way of ortho snapping in Blender, try it – rotate the camera and when you’re close to the view you want to snap to, press the Alt key).
Is it possible to make a script that would change the key for snapping to orthographic views from Alt to Shift in Blender? Is there any place where such scripts can be requested, or even commissioned?
Thanks very much.
