Looks cool so far, nothing much to comment on just yet.
I like the window shades those look quite cool and give the picture a nice calm mood.
The only thing I would look into is scaling. The table with the screen looks huge compared to the rest of the room. Surely you do not have your screen as high (above middle of the wall).
Maybe use real measurment (give or take at least…)

I’ll take some measurements today. You’re totally right. Thanks for the tips

Ok I’ve adjusted the height of the ceiling. Looks a lot better now I think.
I’m gonna have to check to see how to lower the rendering time with way less noise cause This render is at 5000 samples and it’s still noisy.
Next up: some more items to add on the table.

Added a few more objects to the scene. Also created a basic carpet. I’ll be creating a texture for that later on.

Hi Nathan,

Saw you interior and you saying abouthow many samples you had to use, also I noticed that the edges of youroom where also highlighted so I take it you got light bleeding intothe room from all over. Which you may want.
If you don’t Alex Saplacan has asolution for that. If you don’t mind I will put up an example.

This is the room rendered at 1000samples with the front wall missing and no portals, and you can seethere is loads of light coming in from all over, when there is onlyreally two windows, and the light from the lamp is washed out, alsoon the table lamp you can see the reflections of the two windows butalso the missing wall, so the camera can see into the room.

Same scene same settings, but using twoportal lamps and Alex Saplacan method off looking through a wall, theroom is darker now, deliberately used a dark texture. The light fromthe windows is a lot better and the light of the lamp is not sowashed out, also on the lamp now is only the reflection of the twowindows. But you will notice there seems to be a lot of fireflies onthe wall from the red light, I use red light deliberately when tryingout cycles as for some reason red light and cycles don’t always seemto get on with each other.

This is screen capture of the portals.

I will do another post to show node set up.

Node set up, also pressed the back button so don’t know if these two post will be in the right order now.

This is the node set up, the importantbit being the red coloured nodes.

Finally vertex paint,

This is a screen capture of thevertex paint, all the walls are painted black except for the wallthat I want the camera to see through which is painted white.

On Alex Saplacan website he goes in toit in a lot more detail.

Thank you Coops. So very much appreciated. I’ll try all that you suggest. I’m a bit busy today so I’ll try this method out tomorrow. THank you so much for the detailed explanation

its quite calm look. very nice, but one thing I want to say, may be its wrong but I felt that the shadow of window should be dropped on table. what you say? may be its more attractive

Thanks for the suggestion Camryn64. I tried your suggestion but, the shadows it produced weren’t quite as nice.
Here is another update.
BEFORE

AFTER

I forgot to reveal the keyboard in the render. Oops

Added some sound proofing tiles to the room. Also added a little bit of rubbish to the floor.
Any suggestions on the patterns of the tiles?

Planning to add some recording equipment.

very nice work…for some reason this is keying something in my memory that I read/saw somewhere about an isometric room…maybe on wikipedia or something…

Cool. The door/entrance/window to the right keeps throwing me off - kind of like an optical illusion.

This is a very nice work. What do you intend to add next ? A bed ? A bookshelf ?

Thank you everyone. It’s been a while since since I’ve done a full project by myself.
@Papounetman I’m planning to model my bass guitar and put it in the left corner of the room. Also an amp, some cords and a power socket. There’ll probably be more things to add but this’ll be a good start

Haven’t had a lot of time recently but here is an update. Enjoy :]

This is taking longer than I thought it would but, I’m really happy with how it’s turning out. I’m just now trying to figure out things to put in that empty left corner.
Any critiques are always welcome!

So i took a bit of a break from this piece and started a new project. Now I’m back and I feel renewed  I’ve added a new keyboard. I feel like I’m almost done with this image. Is there something you think is missing from this image?
