Issue w/ Multires Modifier

I’ve been having a weird problem every time I use the Multiresolution modifier to add some fine details to a model.

Specifically the virteces around and inside the eyelids sort of go crazy. Not sure how else to describe it…

Typically the problem is intensified when you scroll through resolutions. I’ve tried redoing the same project a few times a few different ways, but always end up hitting this problem…

If anyone has a clue as to how to fix this or avoid it entirely please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Here’s some pictures:

[Base Model]

On your base model, check that the normals are correct (CTRL+N in case they’re not)
If the normals are correct in their orientation and the bug still happens, download a more recent version of Blender on the buildbot and load your .blend with it :
http://builder.blender.org/download/

If the bug is still there and not fixed in one of those more recent version of blender, please report it in the bug tracker , and upload the model too of course so the devs can see it and take a look :

i had the same issue with the latest build (well, 2.63.14). my highest res was fine, but the lower resolutions were doing the same thing. never figured out why…

I found the issue shortly after abandoning the project. There was a row of extra verts behind the eyes extruding inward from a face that was causing some odd distortions.
